Volcán de Chorizo
WHAT YOU NEED
- 1 package Cacique Pork Chorizo
- 8 corn tortillas
- 2 cups Cacique Queso Quesadilla Shredded Cheese
- Guacamole for garnish
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 white onion, diced
- Cacique Salsa Verde for garnish
HOW TO MAKE IT
- In a medium-sized skillet, slowly cook chorizo, breaking it apart until fully cooked (about 10 minutes). Drain off excess fat if necessary.
- Place tortillas on a hot griddle or grill until they are crispy and golden, creating a tostada-like base.
- Top each crispy tortilla with a generous amount of cheese. Allow it to melt and become slightly charred at the edges.
- Top the melted cheese with chorizo crumbles.
- Garnish with guacamole, onion, cilantro, and salsa.
